Building Homes - Stewarding Land - Supporting a Sustainable Future

This year, LCLT is building six new permanently affordable cooperatively owned homes on Crayfish Lane, and a single family home intended for an ag-related worker on Lopez Sound Road. Additionally, LCLT is purchasing 17.5 acres of land-only located at 108 Grayling Lane, currently owned by Sage Dilts and Nathan Hodges, owners and operators of Barn Owl Bakery.

We're raising $5,000 to support these three historic projects. The homes on Crayfish Lane will provide stable housing to 16 Lopezians by the Village. The purchase of land at Barn Owl Bakery will create a legacy of land and food security for generations to come. Join us in making history by ensuring a lasting legacy where islanders have stable housing, farms are farmed and local food businesses are supported.

LCLT

Lopez Community Land Trust is a 501(c)3 non-profit that builds a diverse, sustainable Lopez Island community through affordable housing, sustainable agriculture, and other dynamic rural development programs.  Incorporated in 1989 to meet the challenge of the cost of housing rising 190% in one year, LCLT was formed with the purpose to acquire and hold land in trust for affordable housing, sustainable agriculture and forestry, cottage industries and co-operatives by forever removing the land from the speculative market.
