Housing Lopez

Mission 

Housing Lopez is helping to solve the rental housing crisis on Lopez Island by developing permanently affordable homes to members of our community impacted by our high real estate costs. 

We are Lopezians ourselves — with a small board made up of community members and a new executive director that see a deep and vital need for affordable rentals on Lopez.  We’ve been working since 2018 to make that vision a reality completing our first project, FishBay Cottages in 2021.

Then, in 2023, we broke ground on our current project: Lopez Village North, a 15 unit affordable housing neighborhood in the heart of the Village. Thanks to strong community support and a dedicated team, we're proud to say the project is on track to meet our proposed deadline, with move-in day scheduled for August 2025.
