We are the Lopez Island Community Fireworks and we love putting on Lopez Islands 4th of July Fireworks show. We have been lighting this show from the Otis Perkins Preserve since 1983 and we have only missed one year 2020 (Thanks Covid).
Our show brings thousands of people to our small island, our entire show is based on fundraising and donors. This years show is going to be a celebration of our countries 250th birthday. The show is going to be above and beyond anything we have ever done before.
Our fireworks are put together here on island with a group of our pyros and volunteers. Check out this video of how our show is made.
Unlike other communities, our fireworks are 100% paid for by donations and fundraising. Over the years the cost has increased substantially. We Generally need to raise about $100,000 a year to put on our show. It takes many volunteers and helpers to pull off such an extensive show, and we are grateful for every single one.
