The Hamlet

Our Mission

The Hamlet is a residential community in the heart of Lopez Village for people age 55 and older, offering affordable housing for Lopez residents and their loved ones in a diverse, safe and welcoming environment.

About Us

Our community consists of 14 cottages that house 18 seniors who are independent or independent with assistance (avg. age 81), as well as an adult family home that is staffed around the clock with caregivers for up to eight residents (avg. age 89). By offering supportive rental housing, the Hamlet helps ensure that our beloved elders can stay in our community as long as possible. We have served over 100 Lopezians since opening our doors in 2008.

Did you know...?

-Hamlet Cottages are available to rent, with no large upfront deposit required. To move in, residents simply pay a damage deposit equal to half a month’s rent, along with the first and last month’s rent.

-Hamlet House is able to accommodate seniors on Medicaid and offers a room approved for double occupancy - perfect for couples who wish to stay together. We highly recommend joining our interest list before the need arises. There’s no obligation, and you may remain on the list even if you decline an offer.
