Lopez Center for Community and the Arts brings our Island together. From celebrations, concerts, and dances to theatrical performances and art shows, we offer a vibrant gathering space in both our community center and outdoor pavilion. Our grounds span seven acres and are home to the Farmer’s Market, Skatepark, Lopez Children's Center, Fertile Ground, and Sally’s South Garden - each a vital part of our thriving community.

Today, we are asking for your help to create an outdoor Music Garden and complete the Sally’s South Garden revitalization project. These spaces will invite the community to gather - whether in the joy of shared music or the peace of a quiet garden space nestled in the heart of the village.

Music Garden
Thanks to a generous local donor, we have funds to purchase four outdoor instruments for a new all-ages music park that will be located just south of the skatepark. Now we need your help to complete the vision - funding the landscaping, site work, and plantings that will transform this area into a vibrant, musical gathering space for all ages.

Sally’s South Garden

Since 2021, we've been working with the community to revitalize the Sally’s Garden area between Eads Lane and the Fertile Ground Community Garden. We’ve enhanced the swale, maintained the grounds, and created a more defined, welcoming entrance on Eads Lane. We are asking for your support for the final phase of the project: adding additional plantings, picnic tables, and educational signage.

Volunteers working in Sally's South Garden

If we surpass our fundraising goal, any additional funds will go toward the next phase of our outdoor plan: planting shade trees around the skatepark to make it even more inviting!

If you are interested in making an in-kind contribution, we would greatly appreciate it. We hope to install three new picnic tables, two benches, and a bike rack.

Thank you for helping us nurture these community spaces. We can’t wait to see you enjoying the grounds of the Lopez Center - gathering, creating, and connecting.
