Help Replace the Library's Leaky Roof!

First the good news:  the Washington State Legislature has approved the Library's grant application for $277,000 for the leaky roof and other repairs!  Next stop, the Governor's desk...

Now the catch:  We need to raise funds to match every dollar of the grant. Through Project Little Red, we've raised nearly half of the needed matching funds.

Many of you signed our petition to urge the Legislature to approve the grant.  Now help us raise the match (and raise the roof!) with a contribution today, of whatever you can afford.

Are you up for the challenge?  Join us!

Imagine that little red building - the Lopez Library - has been standing since the 1890s and has served as a schoolhouse, restaurant and fire station before opening its doors as the library. Season after season, year after year, it has welcomed and provided to all.

Steadfast, it is. But, after 130 years, a little tired, as well.

The goal of Project Little Red is to ensure our beloved library stands at the heart of the community for another 100+ years.

Project Little Red is an ambitious, but necessary, five-year, $2 million capital improvement campaign.

Phase One will begin with the replacement of the roof and windows throughout.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 during Give Lopez toward the community match for the state grant.

Thank you for helping make essential repairs to the library we love.
