The Hamlet is a vibrant senior housing community nestled in the heart of Lopez village. It consists of independent-living cottages, as well as an adult family home with 24-hour care. Since opening its doors in 2008, it has proudly offered a warm, supportive environment that has allowed more than 100 Lopezians to live in the community they love for as long as possible.

We are currently seeking your support for two critical improvements that will enhance the safety, comfort, and quality of life for our residents.

First, we aim to replace a portion of the deteriorating asphalt walkways near Hamlet House with concrete. Many of our residents rely on walkers, wheelchairs, canes, and other mobility aids to navigate the community. These paved walkways are essential for exercise, social connection, and safe access between buildings. Unfortunately, the pathways nearest Hamlet House have significantly deteriorated, creating safety hazards for both residents and caregivers who accompany them.

Second, we are looking to upgrade the heat recovery ventilation (HRV) system at Hamlet House to ensure it operates efficiently and effectively. A properly functioning HRV system is essential for maintaining healthy indoor air quality and improving energy efficiency. Based on a professional estimate from SAGE Building Solutions, the cost of this upgrade is approximately $4,000.

Any funds raised beyond what is needed for these two projects will be directed toward further safety enhancements and initiatives that support the well-being of our senior residents.
